Staff Accountant

Olo seeks a Staff Accountant to assist in maintaining the company’s financial records. The Staff Accountant will assist to ensure the company’s accounting function continues to scale with the company’s growth.

This is a full-time position in downtown New York City reporting to the Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Accounts payable: Entering bills into the company’s accounting software, obtaining bill approval from department leads, and archiving all bills received.
  • Managing bi-weekly payment runs to ensure timely payments to vendors.
  • Perform various invoice reconciliations for services provided by third party partners.
  • Handle all internal and external communications related to accounts payable.
  • Categorize corporate credit card transactions and ensure all items are accurately recorded in the company’s accounting system.
  • Perform monthly close and reporting process including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations for the following accounts: accounts payable, payroll, sales tax payable, accruals, and deferred revenue.
  • Manage annual 1099 reporting.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written client facing communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment.
  • Accounting experience in a Software as a Service environment is a plus.
  • High level of familiarity with Intacct financial software is a plus.
  • Legally able to work in the USA.
